My name is Amy and I am an OFSTED Registered Childminder in the LS16 area of Leeds. I live with my husband John, our 2 children aged 15 and 10, and our 4 year old Cocker Spaniel. I registered as a childminder in 2013 after 11 years working as a Primary School Teacher. I work with an assistant which allows me to offer more flexibility to the children and families I work with. John is also registered as my assistant in case of emergencies. We all have Paediatric First Aid certificates which are renewed every 3 years and enhanced DBS checks.
We work from a large, purpose built, cabin in the garden and use the house for meals and nap times. The garden has a mixture of paving and artificial grass to make it usable all year round. We enjoy regular trips out to local parks, playgrounds, the library, and cafes. We also go on day trips to attractions such as Lotherton Hall, Leeds Museum, Temple Newsam and Bolton Abbey.
